DoubleMemory: Superpower for Memories Worth Keeping.
How is DoubleMemory Different?
There are hundreds of save-it-later apps out there, what makes DoubleMemory different?
- Apple Native: written in Swift and memory footprint is much smaller (~5x) than Electron or browser based apps.
- No server required, offline-first, CloudKit synced: there are no dev-controlled servers, your content is hosted on iCloud with your trusted Apple iCloud. Also means we have a much less chance of being shutdown (e.g.: Omnivore).
- No accounts needed: why keep an account when your content is already saved on your machine and backed up to iCloud?
- No extension required: you don't need to install an extension for every single browser you use. Just
⌘ + C + C
. - Double as a clipboard manager: you may not use one already, but it can be handy when you need it.
- No browser required: since it works with system clipboard, it works with any selected text, not just a browser.
- Fastest to Access: just a
⌘ + ⇧ + space
(or any other custom shortcut) away. - Visual board: all the content you captured will be displayed on a Pinterest like waterfall layout.
We believe that an offline-first, serverless, account-free, and extension-free native architecture will provide privacy and control unrivaled by any server-based architecture. While we're in the early days, we have built a solid foundation to evolve from.

Early Days
DoubleMemory was only conceived a couple months ago, we still miss many things that you are used to with a regular save-it-later app. We hope to get to some of these features, but we need your help to prioritize them:
- Image capture: only text and links are supported with the first version
- Offline article capture: we don't capture or save the article, if the content is removed, you won't be able to access it.
- AI driven auto tagging.

System Requirement
Due to the APIs we used, we only support macOS 14.6 Sonoma and above. We also don't have an iOS app, yet.
